The Humane Society of Charlotte is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for our Clinic Services Team. You will assist in prep and recovery for animals undergoing surgery and provide wellness care and guidance to the public. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:45am to 4:30pm.

As a Veterinary Assistant on our Clinic Services Team, the core of your responsibilities revolves around keeping both the animals at our shelter and animals in the public happy and healthy. You'll be assisting in prep and recovery for animals in surgery and providing wellness care and guidance to the public.

Who are we looking for?

• Preferred: One to two years of vet assistant related experience and/or training.
• Enthusiasm for the mission of the Humane Society of Charlotte and helping animals and people in our community.
• Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
• Must be comfortable interacting with dogs and cats.

This position pays $18/hour and is a full-time, 40-hour, Monday - Friday schedule. Our Veterinary Assistant hours are from 7:45am - ~4:30pm
