Florida Aid to Animals is a nonprofit, multi-location veterinary clinic founded in 1989 to help the local community with pet health needs. As the years have passed and the local community’s pet health needs have grown, we too have grown. At Florida Aid to Animals, we aim to make essential pet health care affordable. Florida Aid to Animals provides the following services: affordable spay or neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm, flea, & tick prevention, blood tests, dental cleanings, radiographs, & minor medical issues. Our main goal is preventive medicine at an affordable price! We advocate for the essentials. F.A.T.A. clinics have serviced Brevard County, FL and the surrounding areas for over 35 years.
Florida Aid to Animals has excellent working hours, no emergencies, no after-hours schedule, and no kennel.
We are looking for experienced veterinary technicians who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable team players who are compassionate and have good listening and communication skills.
The ideal candidate has a good working knowledge of vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and typical minor medical concerns for dogs and cats.
Responsibilities:
Assist our veterinarians
Maintain accurate medical records
Communicate with pet owners about their pets’ needs
Prepare vaccinations, medications, and preventatives.
Perform diagnostic tests
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday are 8 am to 4 pm
Each Clinic has a late day
Wednesday, 8 am to 6 pm, Palm Bay Office
Thursday, 8 am to 6 pm, Melbourne Office
Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm (approximately two Saturdays a month)
Competitive salary, with a higher pay rate for Veterinary Technicians with experience.

Requirements:
Dependable team player
Strong computer skills

Can work in a fast-paced environment
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic
