Job summary

CanyonVet New Braunfels, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is seeking a Veterinary Technician to deliver end-to-end patient care in a full-time role. You'll assist veterinarians, perform lab tests, manage records, and support client communications, with emphasis on surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, and postoperative care.

This position offers growth through ThriveU continuing education, ongoing mentorship, and access to a network of hospitals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Veterinary technician licensure preferred.
• Strong hands‑on surgical experience, including patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and post‑operative recovery.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, doctors, management, and hospital personnel.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end‑to‑end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including intake and discharging patients.

Role responsibilities:

• Obtain patient history and provide client education
• Maintain animal records
• Assist doctors with appointments and surgeries
• Help with the check in/check out process

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Veterinary Technician
• Veterinary technician licensure preferred

We are open Monday-Friday 7:30am-6pm and Saturday 8am-6pm
