Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician in a small animal practice.
  • CVT certification or equivalent hands-on experience with strong surgical background is ideal.
  • Strong technical skills including blood draws and cytology preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and blood draws with confidence.
  • Prepare and evaluate cytology samples.
  • Assist with outpatient appointments, treatments, and diagnostics.
  • Utilize in-house laboratory equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care and patient monitoring.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols.
  • Assist veterinarians in physical exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and fluid administration.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and prescribed treatments.
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures.
  • Conduct dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing.
  • Take and develop radiographs as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Collect and process laboratory samples and medical history documentation.
  • Educate pet owners on preventive and post-surgical care.
  • Assist in emergency situations, providing stabilization and critical care.

Position Overview: Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a confident and experienced Veterinary Technician with 2+ years of hands-on clinical experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a technician who is comfortable utilizing their technical skills independently, enjoys learning, and wants to be part of a practice that genuinely values technician input. You will play an integral role in patient care, diagnostics, and client communication while working in a positive, well-supported environment. Surgery experience is preferred (i.e. credentialed technician with skills in dental procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care.)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and blood draws with confidence

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and restrain animals up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to noise, odors, animal dander, and potential hazards
  • Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods

Schedule, Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation: competitive hourly rate based on experience
  • Sign-On Bonus for full-time employees: $1k, paid after 90 days of employment, 1 year claw back
