Job summary

Just 4 Pets Wellness Center in Fort Myers is seeking a full-time veterinary technician to join our well-established, privately owned practice. You will support a collaborative team and provide customized pet care to fit each patient’s needs.

The role includes surgery prep and monitoring, IV catheter placement, venipuncture, intubation, Doppler BP monitoring, dental radiographs, and wellness discussions with clients, with history gathering for sick and well visits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary technician.
• Ability to perform all tasks expected of an experienced technician.
• Courteous attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Upbeat personality and drive to do your best every day.
• Availability to work any of the hours and days the clinic is open.
• Experience in EzyVet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surgery prep and monitoring, including IV catheter placement.
• Venipuncture, intubation, and use of Doppler blood pressure monitoring.
• Discussion about preventative wellness with clients and routine history gathering.
• Digital dental radiographs and related patient care tasks.

Well established, growing small animal practice in Fort Myers, is seeking a full time veterinary technician. Just 4 Pets Wellness Center is privately owned and we pride ourselves on providing customized, quality pet care to fit the individual need of every single patient. We have a fabulous team that really work together and believe that healthy pets are happy pets.

Our new team member will be expected to complete a variety of tasks daily including, but not limited to; surgery prep and monitoring, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, intubation and use of Doppler blood pressure monitoring and digital dental radiographs, discussions about preventative wellness medicine with our clients as well as routine history gathering for both sick and well rooms.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working as a veterinary technician.
• Ability to perform all necessary tasks expected of an experienced technician.
• Courteous attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Up-tone personality and a drive to do your very best every day.
• Availability to work any of the hours and days the clinic is open.
