Job summary

Marathon Veterinary Hospital in Marathon, FL is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join Thrive Pet Healthcare. The role involves hands-on patient care, outpatient treatments, and lab work to support veterinarians.

Youll contribute to a collaborative team, assist with anesthesia, administer tests, and help admit and discharge patients, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care for every patient.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of clinical veterinary experience as a veterinary technician (direct patient care) preferred but willing to train.
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred.
  • Superior/advanced technical skills and anesthesia proficiency (BP, ECG, SpO2, EtCO2) to assist doctors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end care for patients, including outpatient treatments and laboratory tests.
  • Assist with admitting and discharging patients and coordinating care across the team.

Job description

Marathon Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full time Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Marathon, FL.

Sign On Bonus: $2,500 Must be an experienced technician to qualify for a Sign-on Bonus.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care) preferred but willing to train.
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
  • Superior/advanced technical skills
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitudeSelf-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
