Job summary

Marathon Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Thrive Pet Healthcare family in Marathon, FL. You will provide end-to-end care for patients, perform outpatient treatments, and assist with laboratory tests while supporting admission and discharge processes.

This role offers growth through Thrive's training programs, ongoing CE opportunities, and access to a broad network of veterinary professionals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred.
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end care for patients and assist with outpatient treatments.
  • Perform laboratory tests and assist doctors in anesthesia monitoring.
  • Assist with admitting and discharging patients.

Job description

Marathon Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full time Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Marathon, FL.

About You

You'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care) preferred but willing to train.
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
  • Superior/advanced technical skills
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
