Maple Lake Veterinary Clinic, part of Vetcor, is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our busy small animal practice in Maple Lake, Minnesota. We offer a four-day work week with no nights or holiday hours.

Typical schedule is 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a rotating Saturday shift at the Kimball clinic about once every seven weeks (7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.). Competitive compensation from $20–$26 per hour, comprehensive benefits, tuition support, 401(k)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy.
• Complete in-house lab testing and radiography.
• Support surgical and dental procedures from prep to recovery.
• Maintain accurate medical records and educate clients.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

• Collaborate with the veterinary team to maintain an efficient workflow and positive hospital culture
• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments
• Perform venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
• Complete in-house laboratory testing
• Position patients and obtain diagnostic radiographs
• Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgical and dental procedures
• Assist with surgical and dental procedures from preparation through recovery
• Monitor anesthesia, patient vital signs, and overall patient condition during procedures
• Provide attentive postoperative and recovery care
• Clean, maintain, and prepare surgical and dental instruments
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records and patient charts
• Educate clients about medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and ongoing patient needs
• Communicate with clients using compassion, clarity, and confidence
• Help maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment areas
