Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists, a leading provider of specialty & emergency veterinary services in Arkansas, is seeking a bright, motivated, energetic, and experienced veterinary technician to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate must be diligent, professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Contributions to a team environment aimed at providing the best quality of life for patients and excellent client service are essential. This position is for NIGHT SHIFT and WEEKENDS only.

Duties include:

• Obtain vitals and thorough history from clients at presentation
• Restrain canines and felines safely and humanely for exams, diagnostics, and treatments
• Perform venipuncture of Cephalic, Saphenous, and Jugular veins
• Conduct hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, fecal, coagulation panels, and process laboratory samples
• Perform radiology techniques and positioning
• Place and maintain Intravenous and Urinary Catheters
• Calculate and administer medications, including oral, injectable, and CRI
• Knowledge of CPR procedures and emergency anesthesia
• Complete medical records using hospital management software
• Fill prescriptions and review discharge instructions with clients
• Handle client calls and schedule appointments
• Work independently and as part of a team

Schedule:
