West Houston Veterinary Medical Associates is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team in Houston, TX. You will provide nursing care during exams, assist with diagnostics and anesthesia, and help educate clients on care plans and preventive medicine.

Qualifications

• Licensed, registered or certified veterinary technician preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during exams, treatments and procedures
• Assist veterinarians with diagnostics, surgery and anesthesia monitoring
• Perform laboratory testing, radiology and patient assessments
• Safely handle and restrain pets of all sizes and temperaments
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed
• Educate clients on treatment plans, preventive care and post-visit instructions
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
