Job summary

Vetcelerator, a newly established small animal practice in Minnesota, seeks an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join a compassionate and collaborative team. You will play a key role in patient care, diagnostics, and client communication, contributing to a supportive workplace that emphasizes transparency and growth.

You will assist with exams, surgeries, anesthesia monitoring, lab work, and client education, with opportunities to mentor and train assistants as the team expands.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or 3−5 years hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures and animal care.
  • Proficiency in lab work, anesthesia monitoring, and dental procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and medical procedures.
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals.
  • Prepare animals for surgery, including catheter placement and recovery.
  • Conduct laboratory tests such as bloodwork and urinalysis.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments.
  • Provide safe and effective animal restraint.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Educate clients on preventive care and post-procedure recovery.
  • Support clinic cleanliness, organization, and daily operations.
  • Lead Technicians may assist with training and mentoring veterinary assistants and new team members.

What Youll Do


  • Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and medical procedures

  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals

What Were Looking For


  • Either:

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or

  • 3 -5 years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting

  • Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures and animal care

  • Proficiency in lab work, anesthesia monitoring, and dental procedures

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented
