Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Veterinary Technician for Trinity Animal Hospital in Holly Springs, NC. This full-time position involves hands-on care, lab work, and client education to support pets throughout outpatient treatments and routine services.

You will work with a compassionate team in a hospital rooted in the local community, backed by Thrive's national resources and programs. A warm culture and collaborative environment are emphasized.

Qualifications

  • Veterinary technician licensure preferred, but not required.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Your Experience & Skills

About The Hospital

Trinity Animal Hospital is a General Practice located in Holly Springs focusing on wellness and disease prevention, including biannual preventative exams, vaccinations, wellness blood work, dental care with ultrasonic scaling and digital dental radiography, nutritional advice, behavioral counseling, spaying and neutering, ultrasounds, orthopedic procedures, and other routine surgery services.

Our hospital has a warm and welcoming environment and a long-standing client base. We pride ourselves on Teamwork and Reliability. A servant-heart and integrity are all equally important. We are open Monday through Saturday, serving the Holly Springs, Apex, Raleigh and Fuquay-Varina areas.

You’re Willing And Able To

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $16 - $19/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
