Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a passion for animal care, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As an RVT at Highland Village Pet Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide direct care to animals, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Diagnostic Assistance:** Assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures. Collect and prepare samples for analysis
  • Surgical Support: Prepare animals for surgery, assist during surgical procedures, and provide post-operative care.
  • Client Communication: Educate pet owners on health, nutrition, and preventive care. Address client questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Medical Procedures: Perform a range of medical procedures including catheter placement, IV fluid administration, and wound care.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians, fellow RVTs, and support staff to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including sterilization of equipment and proper disposal of waste.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Certification: Must be a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of [Your State]. Graduation from an accredited veterinary technology program is required.
