Pasadena Veterinary Urgent Care is actively seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Pasadena, CA to join our brand-new state-of-the-art veterinary hospital. This role offers the chance to build something extraordinary and make a difference in the lives of pets and their families.

You will support veterinarians, deliver high-quality patient care, and help clients navigate urgent medical needs with professionalism and empathy in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.

Qualifications

• California RVT license is required.
• Experience in general practice, urgent care, or emergency settings is a plus.
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Administer medications and fluids.
• Perform radiography and laboratory analyses.
• Triage patients and provide initial assessments.
• Educate clients regarding pet health and post-visit care.
• Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with practice standards.
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients.
• Participate in special projects and process improvements to support growth and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform essential technical duties such as:
• Administering medications and fluids.
• Radiography and laboratory analysis.
• Triage patients and provide initial assessments.
• Educate and support clients regarding pet health and post-visit care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with practice standards.
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients during their stay.
• Participate in special projects, process improvements, and additional assignments as directed by hospital leadership to support the growth and operations of the practice.

Qualifications

• Active and current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in California
• Previous experience in a general practice, urgent care and/or emergency setting is a plus.
• Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
