Job summary

The Pet Wellness Group is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to patients and exceptional service to clients in our state-of-the-art facility. We offer a 4-day work week with a rotating Saturday shift and coverage for holidays as needed.

Ideal candidates have experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, and are passionate about improving the lives of pets and their owners.

Qualifications

• Experience in animal care and client communication.
• Familiar with common veterinary procedures and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate care instructions and updates to clients clearly.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean and stocked.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.

• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintainaccuratemedical records andassistwith medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelinesat all times.

Qualifications:

• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
