Job description

Well established, growing small animal practice in Fort Myers is seeking a full time veterinary technician. Just 4 Pets Wellness Center is privately owned and we pride ourselves on providing customized, quality pet care to fit the individual need of every single patient. We have a fabulous team that really work together and believe that healthy pets are happy pets.

Responsibilities

• Surgery prep and monitoring, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, intubation and use of Doppler blood pressure monitoring and digital radiographs.
• Discussions about preventative wellness medicine with clients as well as routine history gathering for both sick and well rooms.

Qualifications

• Certification in Veterinary Technology with a current licensure in Florida (a plus, but not required).
• 3 to 5 years of veterinary experience is required.
• 2+ years experience in veterinary ER is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to perform all necessary tasks expected of an experienced technician.
• Courteous attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Up-tone personality and a drive to do your very best every day.
• Availability to work any of the hours and days the clinic is open.
• Experience with cloud-based software is preferred, but not required.
