Metro Paws Animal Hospital - Oak Cliff is seeking a Veterinary Technician to provide essential medical support to veterinarians and clients. You will handle technical tasks, assist in surgeries, manage radiographs, and help care for hospitalized animals in a supportive team environment.

The role requires two years of veterinary technician experience, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and the capacity to lift 50+ lbs. Weekend availability with a differential pay is included.

Responsibilities

• Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture
• Administer drugs (IV, SQ, Oral)
• Perform radiographs
• Assisting doctors with patient care, including obtaining blood and laboratory samples, patient restraint, and client education and communication
• Provide care to hospitalized patients and discharging patients after care is complete
• Conducting dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
• Surgical preparation, monitoring, assisting and recovering patients
• Collaborating in a team environment
