Job summary

AmeriVet is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team in New Hampshire. The role involves rooming patients, assisting in surgeries, drawing blood, and running bloodwork, while ensuring animal comfort and client communication.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of handling radiographs and proper animal restraint with a focus on fear-free practices. A supportive, team-oriented environment and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the veterinary field.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment is a plus.
• Passion for working with animals and their owners.
• Ability to learn proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist during examinations and procedures.
• Draw blood and run bloodwork as needed.
• Position and take accurate radiographs; ensure animal comfort and safety.
• Educate clients on care guidelines and treatment plans.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked work area.

Who We're Looking For:

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in the veterinary field
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment is a plus. Experience working with these tools is even better
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Ability to learn proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint
• Ability to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting
• Excellent communication and ability to gain strong organizational skills

Pay Range

$22.00-$25.00 based on experience and licensure
