Cherished Companions Animal Clinic is Hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Assistant!

Role: Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-Time
Salary: $19–$30 per hour (based on experience & licensure)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (4 ten-hour shifts)

What You’ll Do

  • Triage patients and obtain medical histories, vitals, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care from intake through discharge
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
  • Obtain high‑quality radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging
  • Run in‑house laboratory testing including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, and cytology
  • Support surgical and dental procedures including preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery
  • Practice Fear Free and low‑stress handling techniques
  • Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain efficient workflow and a positive hospital culture
