Job summary

VCA Companion Animal Medical Center is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) to join a 5-doctor practice in Carmel, IN. This full-time role focuses on hands-on patient care, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, and diagnostics, with a competitive hourly compensation and a collaborative, learning-oriented team culture.

You will assist with in-house diagnostics, radiology, and client education, while maintaining medical records and contributing to high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Must hold veterinary technician credential (CVT/RVT/LVT).
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery is preferred.
• Comfort with dental care and imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care including restraint and monitoring.
• Assist with dental care, radiographs, and soft tissue surgery.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarian.
• Educate clients on preventive care and home care.

Registered Veterinary Technician at VCA Companion Animal Medical Center

Compensation: $22-25/hour, pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.

Schedule: Full-time, 4 x 10-hour days.

What You'll Do

• Provide hands-on patient care: restraint, venipuncture, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
• Run and interpret in-house diagnostics (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams)
• Assist with dental care, dental radiographs, and soft tissue/general surgery
• Support digital radiology and other advanced diagnostic services
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Educate clients on preventive care, CareClub® wellness plans, and home care
• Maintain accurate medical records
