Job summary

Burlington Veterinary Center is hiring an experienced or licensed veterinary technician to join our surgical and clinical services team. This role emphasizes anesthesia, diagnostics, and high-quality patient care within a collaborative hospital environment.

You will monitor anesthesia, assist with surgeries, run in-house labs, and support imaging and dental procedures while engaging with clients and the team to deliver exceptional veterinary medicine.

Qualifications

  • Licensed veterinary technician with state eligibility.
  • Experience or strong interest in surgical support and anesthesia.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Must work well in a team-based setting and be cross-trained.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, monitor, and support patients through surgery and anesthesia.
  • Conduct in-house diagnostics including bloodwork and cytology.
  • Assist with imaging procedures (radiology/ultrasound).
  • Provide advanced nursing care for hospitalized patients.
  • Support dentistry procedures and laser treatments.
  • Collaborate with doctors to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Engage in client communication and education as part of a team.

Position Details

Role: Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician - Surgical & Clinical Services

Status: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable and based on experience

Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts. No weekends.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do
