Country Hills Vet Clinic, a CityVet partner, is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our team. Experience as a Veterinary Technician Assistant with a minimum of 1 year will be considered.

Responsibilities

Compensation is based on experience and education.

The Veterinary Technician (VT) is responsible for maintaining excellent patient care and operational productivity by assisting the Veterinarian. The VT helps to streamline communication between the operating room, front office, and clients, and relieves the Veterinarian from technical and administrative tasks.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age at hire
• Minimum 1-year veterinary industry experience
• Ability to properly and safely restrain animals
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medications
• Lift 50 lbs to waist height
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Self-motivated and team-oriented

A Day In The Life

• Assist Veterinarians with patient prep, anesthesia, x-rays, lab specimen collection, and post-op monitoring
• Gather and test samples like stool and blood
• Administer medications, vaccines, and anesthesia as prescribed
• Communicate with clients regarding patient care and instructions
• Assist the Client Service Specialist team as needed
