Job summary

Bolton Veterinary Hospital in Bolton, CT, is seeking dedicated veterinary technicians with emergency surgery and nursing experience to join our fast-paced team.

You will work with doctors to provide exceptional patient care, covering shifts including Saturdays, in a 24/7 hospital with diverse cases from urgent care to critical. Competitive pay ranges from $21 to $32 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in hospitalized patient care and/or emergency veterinary medicine as a Technician.
• Strong nursing skills & abilities. Extra experience with surgery, ICU and emergency medicine is a big plus.
• CVT preferred
• Weekend day required (Saturday)

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors in providing patient care in a fast-paced hospital.
• Work with experienced Techs and DVMs to deliver high-quality care.
• Care for a wide range of cases from urgent care to critical.
• Support the hospital's 24/7 operations and weekend shifts.

Bolton Veterinary Hospital is a fast-paced, general and emergency practice with 17 veterinarians on staff and a support team of over 120! We are proudly privately owned, and have been in operation since 1953.

We are currently looking for dedicated and hardworking veterinary technicians with emergency surgery and nursing experience. You will work alongside doctors providing exceptional patient care and enjoy an atmosphere of respect and appreciation.

We have a team of highly skilled and trained Technicians to work with and learn from. The tenure of the staff here says it all. This is a place to challenge yourself and grow your skills to the next level, while working alongside a highly supportive and dedicated staff.

About this job:

This is a full time position and will include working a Saturday shift each week.

As we are a 24/7 hospital, working two holidays a year is required for this role (with holiday pay & holiday rates!)

$21-$32/hour depending on years of experience, technical skills and abilities, licensure/certification status

Weekday shifts will be from 1 PM - 9:30 PM

You will learn from and partner with experienced Techs and DVMs who truly enjoy working as a team

You'll see a huge variety of cases from urgent care to critical
