Job summary

Sploot is seeking an urgent care veterinary technician to join a high‑caliber team in Colorado. You'll work flexible 10–12 hour shifts with no overnights, supported by strong nursing ratios and AI tools to streamline daily tasks.

As a vet tech, you’ll assist surgeons, perform diagnostic workups, educate clients, and help maintain spotless digital records. This role values collaboration, organization, and a proactive, compassionate approach to pet care.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado RVT license.
• 1+ year vet tech experience; emergency/urgent care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring, treatments, and diagnostics.
• Perform blood draws, lab work, IV catheter placement, radiographs, meds administration, and wound care.
• Guide and reassure pet parents by clearly communicating care plans and at-home instructions.
• Maintain accurate digital records (with AI scribe support), restock supplies, and keep equipment clean.

What You'll Do

• Clinical Partnership: Support veterinarians with surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring, treatments, and diagnostics
• Technical & Lab Skills: Perform blood draws, lab work, IV catheter placement, radiographs, medication and vaccine administration, and wound care assistance
• Client Education & Support: Guide and reassure pet parents by clearly communicating care plans and at-home instructions
• Clinic Operations: Maintain accurate digital records (with AI scribe support), restock supplies, and keep equipment clean and sterilized
• Culture & Mentorship: Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused team environment and support the growth of veterinary assistants
