Job summary

Sploot Veterinary Care in Highlands Ranch is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team. You'll enjoy flexible shifts with no overnight duties, working alongside veterinarians and a supportive staff. Your responsibilities will include assisting with surgeries, client education, and maintaining clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Current Veterinary Technician License in Colorado is mandatory.
• Must have over 1 year of veterinarian technician experience.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with surgery prep and monitoring.
• Perform blood draws, lab work, and medication administration.
• Guide pet parents on care plans and instructions.

Skills

RVT — Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Colorado

1+ year of vet tech experience; emergency or urgent care is a plus

• RVT — Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Colorado
• 1+ year of vet tech experience; emergency or urgent care is a plus but not required

What You'll Do

• Clinical Partnership: Support veterinarians with surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring, treatments, and diagnostics
• Technical & Lab Skills: Perform blood draws, lab work, IV catheter placement, radiographs, medication and vaccine administration, and wound care assistance
• Client Education & Support: Guide and reassure pet parents by clearly communicating care plans and at-home instructions
• Clinic Operations: Maintain accurate digital records (with AI scribe support), restock supplies, and keep equipment clean and sterilized
• Culture & Mentorship: Contribute to a positive, solutions-focused team environment and support the growth of veterinary assistants
