Job summary

Sun City Animal Hospital in Indian Land, SC, is seeking a Surgery Technician to join our 2-doctor practice open 7 days with nights/weekend urgent care. We value teamwork, ongoing learning, and compassionate patient care as we provide routine wellness, dental care, basic surgeries, and access to mobile specialists.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Surgery Technician
• Strong anesthesia monitoring experience
• Proficiency assisting with surgical procedures
• Knowledge of pre-operative, surgical, and post-operative patient care
• Experience collecting and processing laboratory samples
• Experience positioning patients and obtaining radiographs
• Strong patient-handling and low-stress restraint skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping
• Exceptional communication and client-service skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
• A desire to continue learning and developing your technical skills
• The ability to receive and apply constructive feedback

Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively with veterinarians and the hospital team to provide exceptional patient care
