BluePearl Pet Hospital - Sterile Supply Assistant

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Supply Assistant to join our Surgery team at our North Hills, Pittsburgh location!

Pay: $16.25 - $22.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience, credentialing, and advancement through the CareerTrax leveling system.

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $4.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.00 Shift Differential

We are seeking a self-motivated, positive Sterile Supply Assistant to add to our surgical team. The ideal candidate should be organized and focused on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through sterile preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare instruments and operating rooms for surgery.
• Troubleshoot and remove faulty equipment from service for repair or replacement.
• Maintain appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Decontaminate and clean operating rooms, sterile supply rooms, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and wrap packs.
• Serve as a resource to the surgical team regarding surgical equipment.
