Job summary

Pennard Vets in Maidstone is seeking an experienced veterinarian to take on complex cases from start to finish within a supportive team. You’ll work in our on-site theatre with imaging, dentistry, and in-house labs, delivering high-quality care.

The role offers a 4-day week with protected admin time, unlimited CPD (with approval), and generous leave, plus visa sponsorship for overseas applicants.

Qualifications

• Qualified veterinarian with BVetMed or equivalent.
• Experience in branch practice preferred.
• Comfort with complex surgery and cat-friendly hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex surgeries and clinical workups from start to finish.
• Examinations, diagnoses and treatment plans with a hands-on approach.
• Collaborate with nursing team and wider Pennard Vets group to ensure high-quality care.

• Salary: £40k per annum
• Contract: Permanent
• Working hours: 40 hours per week. Including a rota of Saturdays
• Location: Maidstone, ME15

We're looking for an experienced vet who loves the relationships of branch practice but doesn't want to hand over every interesting case.

• People to learn from. Our team holds further qualifications in medicine and feline ultrasound, and our nurses run their own clinics.

• Recognised for getting it right. RCVS PSS accredited, with an Outstanding award for Client Service, and an approved VetGDP and VN Training Practice.

• Nights off. Always. Our own dedicated out-of-hours team covers emergencies, so overnights are never part of your rota.
