Job summary

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore's School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time, 12-month tenure-track faculty position as Assistant/Associate Professor - Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. The ADSA provides strategic leadership for student services, advising, wellness, and career preparation throughout the DVM curriculum.

Working with the Dean and faculty, the ADSA develops student success programs, oversees admissions, and leads accreditation reporting to AVMA

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in veterinary medicine, veterinary education, or higher education administration.
• Demonstrated experience advising professional or pre-professional students.
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight for all Student Affairs functions within the School of Veterinary Medicine.
• Oversee Admissions process within the School of Veterinary Medicine.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate policies related to student progression, professionalism, conduct, and well-being.
