Bond Vet is hiring a Veterinary Assistant in New York to join our growing team. You will partner with veterinarians and vet techs to deliver high-quality care to pets and their families, handling scribing, procedures, and client communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a veterinary assistant or kennel assistant.
• Working knowledge of veterinary terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Proficient typing and using multiple computer systems.
• Passion for pets and care.

Responsibilities

• Scribe for Veterinarians during visits.
• Support medical team with surgeries, x-rays, treatments, and procedures.
• Compassionately handle and restrain pets for exams.
• Record and report on patient symptoms.
• Clean, restock and maintain clinic areas and exam rooms.
• Communicate pricing estimates and treatment plans to clients.
• Assist with client interactions, walk-ins, calls, scheduling, and education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by team leaders.
