American Veterinary Group is seeking a Scheduling Operations Specialist to coordinate relief veterinarian scheduling across its hospital network using Vetcher. The role supports practice managers, regional directors and operations to ensure timely coverage and optimal staffing.

The ideal candidate will oversee shift requests, backfills, and coverage risk management while communicating with relief veterinarians and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong organizational skills.
• Experience in scheduling, staffing, recruiting, or workforce management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate relief scheduling across multiple hospitals and markets using the Vetcher platform.
• Review and manage pending shift requests and approvals to ensure timely decisions.
• Monitor open shifts and identify upcoming coverage risks.
• Partner with Practice Managers and Regional Directors to prioritize staffing needs.
• Manage relief veterinarian cancellations, changes and backfill needs.
• Support urgent coverage while balancing hospital needs and costs.
• Maintain schedules in Vetcher and assist with new hospital openings and market expansion.
• Communicate staffing risks and scheduling changes to leadership and teams.
• Support platform adoption, troubleshooting, and data integrity.
