American Veterinary Group is seeking a Scheduling Operations Specialist to support relief veterinarian staffing across our hospital network. You will coordinate schedules, manage coverage needs, and partner with Practice Managers, Regional Directors, Recruiting, and Operations to ensure hospitals have veterinarian coverage.

The role emphasizes communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple markets in a fast-paced environment. A base salary, plus quarterly bonuses, is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate relief veterinarian scheduling across multiple hospitals and markets using the Vetcher platform.
• Review and manage pending shift requests and approvals to ensure timely scheduling decisions.
• Monitor open shifts and identify upcoming coverage risks.
• Partner with Practice Managers and Regional Directors to prioritize staffing needs and develop coverage strategies.
• Manage relief veterinarian cancellations, schedule changes, and backfill needs to minimize disruptions to hospital operations.
• Support urgent coverage needs while balancing veterinarian availability and cost considerations.
• Coordinate with approved relief staffing agencies when additional coverage is needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules within Vetcher.
• Assist with hospital openings and market expansions.
