Job summary

Alliance Animal Health is a fast-growing veterinary service organization partnering with many practices across the US. The Veterinary Regional Manager will oversee each practice manager and lead hospitals in the Kansas region and surrounding states.

You will collaborate with the Regional Director and Vice President of Operations to enhance performance and implement initiatives across hospitals in your region.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing multiple locations for a multi-site operator in the veterinary industry.
• Strong communication, team-building and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Preferably lives near Kansas City, KS Metro area.

Responsibilities

• Directly oversee and lead the practice managers at each hospital.
• Collaborate with practice managers on operations including staffing, inventory, budgeting, HR, scheduling, marketing, and training.
• Act as a key partner to the managing veterinarian and integrate their feedback and goals.
• Work with the VP of Operations to review financial reports and develop strategies.
• Oversee post-acquisition integration for newly acquired clinics.
• Travel to the practices 4 days per week with 1 office day.

Job Description

The Veterinary Regional Manager will be responsible for overseeing each individual practice manager and leading the hospitals across Alliance Animal Health’s network of veterinary hospitals in our growing region of Kansas and surrounding states. You will work with the Regional Director, the Vice President of Operations, the Veterinary Partner Doctors and Practice Managers to enhance performance at their respective hospitals. You will also work with the Internal Operations team to lead implementation of initiatives and projects at the hospitals in your region.

You will also be expected to grow with the region as Alliance Animal Health adds partner hospitals to the region.

Role & Responsibilities

Leadership and management:

• Directly responsible for overseeing and leading the practice managers at each hospital.
• Responsible for working directly with the practice managers on the operations at the hospital, including staffing, inventory, budgeting, employee and client scheduling, marketing, employee training, and human resources.
• Act as a key resource and partner to the managing veterinarian at each location and responsible for building a strong relationship with that doctor. Also responsible for partnering with them on the work you are doing with the practice manager and incorporating their feedback and goals in your work with each practice.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations to review the financial reports with the practice leadership team and develop strategies for each practice.
• Responsible for reviewing the non-financial reports (inventory budgets; scheduling budgets) and driving plans of improvement based on the results.
• Responsible for the post-acquisition integration process for newly acquired clinics.
• Expected to travel to the practices 4 days per week and have 1 office day (but could be at practices 5 days a week as needed).

• Strong communication, team-building and leadership skills
• Highly organized and able to manage time effectively
• 3+ years of experience managing multiple locations for a multi-site operator in the veterinary industry
• Self-starter that is excited to work in an entrepreneurial environment and can take initiative
• Strong analytical skills and experience reviewing budgets and financial statements
• Proficient with full suite of Microsoft office products
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required
• Preferably someone that lives near Kansas City, KS Metro area.
