Job summary

West Lake Animal Hospital in Salt Lake City is hiring an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to greet clients and their pets with compassion at the front desk. You will handle phones, schedule appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate client and patient records in Cornerstone.

The role is full-time with a 4-day, 10-hour schedule (Mon-Thu) and no weekends, late nights, or holidays. Spanish language skills are preferred, and at least 1 year of veterinary experience is expected.

Status: Full-Time

Salary: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: 4-day work week of 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday; no weekends, late nights, or holidays

Experience: 1 year of veterinary experience required

What You’ll Bring

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic knowledge of animal health, well-being, and routine procedures
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience handling cash and credit card payments
• Cornerstone experience is very helpful
• Spanish language skills preferred
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in stressful situations, working independently or on a team
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
