BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist at our Louisville, KY location!

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are vital to our hospital's success. You will be the first BluePearl Associate that clients see, ensuring each client receives the care and attention they need. You must be able to function calmly and compassionately in emotional and challenging situations.

As a Veterinary Receptionist, your responsibilities include:

1. Greet every individual with friendly eye contact and a warm, professional acknowledgment.
2. Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor.
3. Be a compassionate listener.
4. Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the phone to ensure clients understand.
5. Assess clients and pets upon arrival, noting their needs and condition.
6. Determine whether an emergency is 'stat' or 'standard'.
7. Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
8. Confirm appointments in advance and provide clients with accurate preparation information.
9. Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients discreetly and compassionately.
10. Serve as a liaison during pet remains handling, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
