Position Overview

Goffstown Animal Hospital is seeking a part-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. We are a small animal practice with three experienced doctors. We value teamwork, positivity, and work-life balance, fostering a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for clients via phone and in person, representing the professional image of the practice.
• Answer calls, greet clients, prepare patient files, and escort clients and patients to exam rooms.
• Manage client correspondence and update financial records.
• Diffuse negative client situations and foster client bonding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills, including Word, email, and typing 30 WPM.
• Experience with office functions in a busy environment is desirable.
• Flexibility and quick learning of veterinary terminology.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and sit/stand for extended periods.
• May be exposed to odors, noises, animal feces, bites, scratches, and contagious diseases.
