Qualifications

Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative

North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort is seeking an outgoing Client Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital.

In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment where initiative and attention to detail are valued every single day.

Schedule and compensation:

  • Compensation: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, for each hour worked
  • Schedule: This is a part-time position (20–30 hours per week) with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday–Sunday.
    • Shifts vary and can range from 7:20 AM–6:00 PM, 12:00–6:00 PM, 7:20 AM–1:00 PM, and others depending on daily needs.
    • Weekend availability is required for 1–2 short shifts per month (Saturday and Sunday, approximately 5:00–6:00 PM).
    • No on-call requirements.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 1+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
    • Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred
    • Proficiency in the following skills:
      • Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
      • Experience working with veterinary practice management software, especially Avimark,preferred
      • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred
      • Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
      • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team
      • Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-oriented during busy periods
