Burlington Veterinary Hospital is Hiring a Client Care Specialist!
Position Details:
- Role: Client Care Specialist (Veterinary Receptionist)
- Status: Full-time
- Salary: $17.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, one half day per week

What You'll Do:
- Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
- Answer phones, emails, and text messages while providing exceptional customer service
- Schedule appointments and help coordinate an efficient daily workflow
- Check patients in and out while maintaining accurate client and patient records
- Process invoices, collect payments, and review estimates with clients
- Educate clients about hospital services, preventive care, and next steps
- Help prioritize urgent scheduling needs while maintaining a calm, organized front desk
- Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area
- Collaborate with doctors and teammates to provide an outstanding client experience
What You'll Bring:
- Previous customer service experience; veterinary reception experience preferred
- Experience with Avimark or other veterinary practice management software is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy
- Confidence managing high call volume while balancing multiple priorities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Positive attitude and collaborative, team‑first mindset
