Overview

Solon Veterinary Hospital has an opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team!

Located in Solon, Ohio, we are a small animal, 2-doctor practice committed to serving our established clients and growing for the future of veterinary medicine.

Location: 6475 Richmond Rd., Solon, OH 44139

Shift Details: Full-time (30+ hours/week), must be available for opening and closing shifts, including rotating Saturday shifts.

Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary: The Receptionist is the first and last contact clients have with the hospital, crucial for creating positive impressions. Must possess excellent client service, communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to handle payments and stressful situations. Supports veterinarians, technicians, assistants, groomers, and kennel staff in daily care.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and pets with a friendly attitude
  • Answer phones professionally, screen and route calls, and take messages
  • Schedule appointments and surgeries, confirm bookings
  • Document client conversations accurately in medical records
  • Explain invoices, process payments, verify client information
  • Fill prescriptions, provide care instructions, and advise on retail items
