Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking Veterinary Receptionists to greet clients and provide compassionate service across Emergency and Specialty departments. You will be the friendly face at the door, offering reassurance and clear information to pet owners in stressful moments.

This role features four 10-hour day shifts per week with rotating weekend days and holidays, and pay from $17.00 to $26.00 per hour. You will coordinate appointments, answer inquiries, and help families navigate care for

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and provide warm, professional acknowledgement at hospital entry.

  • Confirm appointments and provide prep instructions to clients.
  • Offer emotional support and resources to grieving clients in a discreet manner.
  • Serve as liaison between clients and service teams during handling of pet remains.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring for Veterinary Receptionists!

Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, with rotating weekend day and holidays.

Pay: $17.00-$26.00/hour

This role supports both our Emergency and Specialty departments. The Client Service Coordinator will begin by working in Emergency and will rotate through various specialty services to gain exposure, develop skills, and support multiple areas of the hospital. This position is ideal for someone who wants to learn, grow, and not be limited to a single department.

As a Veterinary Receptionist:
  • You will greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens to offer the individual warm and professional acknowledgement.
  • You are always offering a friendly smile, strong eye contact and an approachable demeanor.
  • You are a compassionate listener.
  • You speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.
  • You will assess immediately upon arrival each client's rare need, as well as the pet's general condition.
  • You will determine whether an emergency arrival is a "stat" versus "standard" emergency.
  • You will respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
  • You are responsible for confirming all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
  • You will offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
  • You serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains by ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
