Lyndon Animal Clinic is a four-doctor practice located in the Louisville metro area. We offer services such as chiropractic care and stem cell therapy, and work closely with Kentucky Humane Society. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and motivated Veterinary Receptionist to support our team. This role involves providing excellent client service and supporting daily clinic operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong multi-tasking skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Key Responsibilities

1. Greet clients and their pets warmly and professionally.
2. Answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage reminders.
3. Process payments and maintain accurate client records.
4. Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and team members.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of veterinary experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and a team player.

Additional Responsibilities

• Schedule calls and appointments, prioritize tasks calmly and efficiently.
• Maintain client and pet records accurately.
• Assist clients with instructions, invoices, prescriptions, and scheduling.
• Use hospital computer systems for documentation and communication.
• Handle financial transactions following proper procedures.
• Educate clients on pet health and hospital services.
• Show empathy and compassion towards clients and pets.
• Utilize office equipment and knowledge of veterinary terminology.
• Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
• Experience with veterinary software preferred.
• Work independently and accept guidance as needed.
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, good judgment, stress management.
