Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our team and help grow our service. We value innovation and individuality at the practice level while recognizing the power of collaboration. We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for advancing medicine.
Our hospital is 56,000 sq ft with advanced imaging and treatment facilities, including a 1.5 T MRI, 64-slice CT, and an Interventional Radiology Suite. GCVS offers a wide range of specialty practices such as Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Allergy, Avian and Exotics, Cardiology, and Anesthesiology. We operate a 24/7/365 emergency service within our hospital.
Our facility is equipped with a Varian Halcyon stereotactic linear accelerator, Eclipse planning software, and a dedicated team including a veterinarian, radiation therapist, and radiation oncology technicians to ensure comprehensive patient care. We benefit from a collaborative environment with other boarded specialists across 12 departments, fostering high-quality veterinary medicine practice.
GCVS supports an active rotating and specialty internship program, providing opportunities for professional development and collaboration with general practitioners through monthly meetings and an annual symposium.
