Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH is seeking an Associate Scientist in Veterinary Quality Services in Kentucky. The role involves animal care, welfare activities, and executing bio-analytical assays in compliance with AAALACi standards, 9CFR, EU and VICH guidelines.

The position supports R&D testing, initiates and completes validated assays, and communicates issues to supervision. Requires a biology degree or equivalent with cGMP experience; LAT AALAS certification preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Biology or a relevant scientific discipline.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant scientific/animal care experience in a cGMP or similar environment with a BA/BS.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of scientific/animal care experience in a cGMP or similar environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine animal care and welfare activities.
Perform routine testing using existing animal and laboratory assays.
Maintain reagents, supplies and calibrated equipment; prepare reagents and materials.
Calculate results and review test sheets; communicate status.
Coordinate site-level quality and animal welfare projects; collaborate across groups.
