Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Animal Care Technician LG4 to derive products from livestock, companion, and laboratory animals with emphasis on compliance with USDA/AAALACi Animal Welfare and GxP documentation to support QC and R&D testing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Animal care experience with livestock background preferred.
• ALAT certification must be obtained within 12 months; LAT within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Handle and care for Production, Quality Control, and Research animals following AAALACi and USDA guidelines.
• Prepare for incoming animals and maintain facility cleanliness and sanitation.
• Perform animal conditioning, sample collection, and administer veterinarian-prescribed treatments.
