Job summary

Vetcove seeks a Veterinary Project Manager to bridge Product and veterinary customers, leveraging hospital operations experience within a software environment to build products that solve clinic challenges.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and external partners to translate real-world workflows into strategy, manage launches, and drive cross-functional initiatives across teams in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience managing operations at a veterinary hospital or clinic.
  • Experience working at a software or technology company strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of veterinary clinic operations, workflows, and practice management systems.
  • Experience leading projects or coordinating cross functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on Veterinary Workflows: Provide expertise on veterinary clinic operations and workflows to validate product decisions.
  • Lead Cross Functional Projects: Coordinate projects across Product, Engineering, Customer Success and Operations from planning to execution.
  • Manage External Partnerships: Serve as primary product contact for corporate veterinary groups, integration partners, and other third parties.
  • Support Product Launches: Coordinate GTM activities, stakeholder communications, launch readiness, and post-launch execution.
  • Bridge Business & Product Teams: Align priorities and facilitate communication across Product and Business teams.
  • Coordinate Product Operations: Track timelines, dependencies, risks, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Maintain Product Documentation: Create and maintain project plans, process docs, meeting notes, and internal resources.
  • Champion the Customer Perspective: Use veterinary experience to ensure product decisions deliver value to clinics.

About the Role

As a Veterinary Project Manager at Vetcove, you'll serve as the bridge between our Product team and our veterinary customers. Leveraging your experience managing a veterinary hospital and working within a software company, you'll help ensure we're building products that solve operational challenges for clinics.

You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Customer Success, and external partners to bring real world veterinary expertise into the product development process. From advising on clinic workflows and managing strategic initiatives to coordinating product launches and serving as the primary point of contact for large hospital consolidators, you'll play a critical role in helping our Product team move quickly and build products our customers love.

What You'll Do
  • Advise on Veterinary Workflows: Partner with product managers to provide expertise on veterinary clinic operations and workflows, helping validate product decisions and reduce unnecessary user research.
  • Lead Cross Functional Projects: Coordinate strategic projects across Product, Engineering, Customer Success and Operations, ensuring projects stay organized and on track from planning through execution.
  • Manage External Partnerships: Serve as the primary product contact for corporate veterinary groups, integration partners, and other third parties, leading discussions, gathering feedback, and driving collaborative initiatives.
  • Support Product Launches: Partner with product managers and cross functional teams to coordinate GTM activities, stakeholder communications, launch readiness, and post launch execution.
  • Bridge Business & Product Teams: Act as the liaison between product and business teams, helping align priorities, facilitat[e] communication, and drive cross-functional initiatives forward.
  • Coordinate Product Operations: Track project timelines, manage dependencies, identify risks, and keep stakeholders informed to ensure successful execution of key initiatives.
  • Maintain Product Documentation: Create and maintain project plans, process documentation, meeting notes, and internal resources that keep cross functional teams aligned.
  • Champion the Customer Perspective: Leverage firsthand veterinary experience to ensure product decisions reflect real clinic workflows and deliver meaningful value to veterinary teams.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience managing operations at a veterinary hospital or clinic
  • Experience working at a software or technology company strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of veterinary clinic operations, workflows, and practice management systems
  • Experience leading projects or coordinating cross functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Strong relationship building skills with experience collaborating across technical and non technical teams
  • Ability to work independently while driving alignment across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Operations

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is: $75,000/year - $100,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. For Colorado, the salary range is: $80,000-$95,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. This salary range is a good faith estimate of what Vetcove may pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The range reflects the base hourly rate or annual compensation (as applicable), and does not include bonus, equity or other incentives.
