Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience preferred or 3+ years veterinary experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in veterinary medicine terminology and how to run a veterinary hospital.
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multitasker and strong communicator.

Responsibilities

• Make informal recommendations to the veterinary regional manager concerning staffing, hours, and status changes affecting receptionists.
• Direct on-the-job training to develop employee skills and performance.
• Recruit, hire and onboard staff; set salaries and administer performance.
• Market the hospital to prospective customers and the veterinary community; attend events.
• Resolve employee complaints and maintain effective staff communication.
• Lead and develop a cohesive team aligned with hospital philosophy and standards.
• Maintain patient records with accurate information and proper ordering.
