Job summary

McDonough Animal Hospital in Georgia is seeking a capable Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee office administration, inventory, staffing, and client communications. You will train staff, manage schedules, and ensure policies are followed to maintain efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

You will lead recruitment, supervise performance, and collaborate with doctors to support the hospital’s philosophy.

Qualifications

• Experienced or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager with a minimum of 1-year management experience preferred or 3+ years veterinary experience preferred
• Knowledgeable in veterinary medicine terminology and how to run a veterinary hospital
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
• Highly organized and possess computer skills
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance knowledge and skillset
• Open availability with flexibility to change hours based on hospital's needs

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all office administration procedures
• Order inventory and manage schedules; resolve staff conflicts
• Train staff and answer owners' questions on policies, availability, and costs
• Direct on-the-job training and performance appraisals
• Recruit, hire and onboard staff; set salaries and culture fit
• Market hospital to prospective clients and veterinary community
• Maintain patient records and ensure accurate veterinary orders
• Ensure policy compliance, payroll, and vendor relations
• Address owner complaints promptly and maintain professional service
• Prepare staff schedules and promote teamwork
• Promote a positive hospital image and effective communication
