Valhalla Animal Hospital in southern New York is seeking a courteous Veterinary Practice Manager to coordinate all office administration. You will train staff, manage schedules, handle payroll, inventory, and policies while ensuring excellent client service and hospital operations.

Qualifications

• CVPM with 1+ year managerial experience preferred or 3+ years in veterinary practice.
• Strong leadership, communication and motivational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with all team members and support hospital doctors and philosophy.
• Compassionate, calm, team-player.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Highly organized with solid computer skills.
• Knowledge of patient records procedures and veterinary terminology.
• Self-starter with desire to advance knowledge.
• Open availability with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and onboard staff in line with hospital culture and policies.
• Direct on-the-job training and performance appraisals.
• Market the hospital to clients and veterinary community.
• Resolve staff conflicts and maintain effective communication.
• Establish staffing schedules and payroll processes.
• Maintain inventory control, including controlled substances.
• Manage hospital policies, DEA/OSHA compliance.
• Notify veterinary staff of emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
