Job summary

San Francisco SPCA is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician to oversee the Hospital Pharmacy team. You will ensure accurate, compliant and efficient dispensing of medications while delivering exceptional client service and collaborating with management and nursing operations.

The role emphasizes operational efficiency, staff development, and cross-department collaboration to elevate Pharmacy performance and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience in veterinary or human pharmacy.
• Current Pharmacy Technician licensure/registration is required.
• Experience managing pharmacy workflows and fulfillment.
• Knowledge of inventory management and ensuring meds are available.
• Working knowledge of DEA regulations and controlled-substance handling.
• Experience with pharmacy inventory systems; Cubex preferred.
• Attention to detail in a high-volume setting.
• Excellent customer service and communication with clients and staff.

• Oversee pharmacy operations and ensure compliant dispensing.
• Develop and maintain pharmacy workflows and policies.
