Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our Northfield, IL team!

Pay PCC: $23.10 - $33.30 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience, advancement through the CareerTrax leveling system, and licensing.

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will act as a liaison between the front and back of the hospital by facilitating client and patient flow, triaging medical phone calls, coordinating communication between clients and doctors, and performing ER visit follow-up calls for both locations. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Responsibilities include monitoring waiting/exam room clients, assisting with refreshments and marketing materials, updating clients on wait times and patient status, maintaining communication with staff to minimize wait times, coordinating patient flow between specialties, managing hospital census, facilitating discharge appointments, managing patient discharge and visit boards, checking doctor message bins, triaging messages, and following up with ER clients.
